Nostalgia for the past? Are you looking for a timepiece with a retro flavor but an eye toward the future? Well, if you’re lucky you might be able to get your hands on a very limited edition watch that has vintage charm to spare!

We are talking about H. Moser & Cie. which, in collaboration with Massena LAB, has launched the limited edition Endeavour Chronograph Compax, an exceptional timepiece that goes beyond the simple chronograph. Produced in only 100 pieces, this extraordinary timepiece represents a journey through the history and mysteries of H. Moser & Cie. while celebrating today’s innovation.

The aesthetics of the new Endeavour Chronograph Compax

Endeavour Chronograph Compax

Inspired by the Moser models of the 1940s, the Endeavour Chronograph Compax embodies the watchmaking tradition, enriched with a timeless modern touch. With this chronograph, the Swiss Maison and Massena LAB pay tribute to the innovative approach that has always characterized the brand.

A symbol of exploration and discovery, the model recalls the image of an ancient clock found in a museum and is designed for those who, like great adventurers, want to push the limits of time and space.

The “face” of the Endeavour Chronograph Compax makes its grand appearance with a classic “Compax” configuration, featuring two counters at 3 and 9 o’clock: one for the small seconds and the other for the 45-minute chronograph. This symmetrical arrangement offers an elegant and functional harmony reminiscent of the scientific universe of the mid-20th century. Serving as a backdrop to this perfect consonance is the Fumé Funky Blue coloring with sunray finish while time is marked through the leaf-shaped spheres.

All technical elements, such as the tachymeter scale, chronograph graduation, counters, and hands, are equipped with Super-LumiNova to ensure perfect readability in all situations, even in the most extreme conditions, when the watch needs to be a reliable instrument for navigating unpredictable environments.

The presence of the tachymeter scale, which makes it possible to measure road speed accurately, also harks back to the practical utility that clocks had for the pioneers and explorers of the past who liked to measure everything.

The Endeavour Chronograph Compax features a 41 mm stainless steel case in a polished finish and is paired with a brown kudu (for those who don’t know, it’s a species of antelope) leather strap with white stitching that echoes details often found on historical dials.

The caliber of the new Endeavour Chronograph Compax

Jealously guarded by the splendid case and peered through a transparent sapphire crystal case back, there is the in-house automatic caliber HMC 220, with Dubois Dépraz chronograph module, capable of guaranteeing a high level of technical performance worthy of this exceptional watch. The bridges are worked in the“Clou de Paris“style, and the oscillating weight is engraved with the H. Moser trademark; thanks to its oscillations, following the movement of the wrist, it ensures a 3-day power reserve for the barrel.

The concept of this collaborative piece, created with Massena LAB, deviates slightly from the minimalist philosophy that usually characterizes H. Moser & Cie. However, it faithfully respects the aesthetic of the 1940s, striking a perfect balance between tradition and contemporary boldness.

The expertise of William Massena, a great connoisseur of vintage watchmaking and longtime friend of H. Moser & Cie. was crucial to the design of this piece: “Inspired by the Moser chronographs of the 1940s, what intrigued me most during this collaboration was the tension between the maximalist vintage aesthetic of the past and the radical minimalism that defines H. Moser & Cie. today. Combining these two philosophies was a challenge, but the result, theEndeavour Chronograph Compax, is a watch that bridges past and present while looking firmly into the future.”

Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., also wished to emphasize the importance of the model: “The Endeavour Chronograph Compax is not just a watch: it is a timeless statement, a bridge between past and present, and a wonderful demonstration of the ability of both brands to push the limits of innovation ever further, while celebrating the watchmaking heritage of H. Moser & Cie. It is not content to tell a story; it takes its owner on a journey, immersing him or her in a world where time meets discovery and innovation.”
