Although we thought that the sports news in the Tudor house was over for this period, the fashion house has again managed to surprise us with a very interesting release for lovers of Formula One and beyond.
After the presentation of the all-new Pelagos FXD on the occasion of the Tour of Italy, and the Black Bay for Inter’s Scudetto victory, the Geneva-based house has in fact unveiled a ceramic Black Bay with a brand new dial dedicated, this time, to the Visa Cash App RB Formula One team.
So, dear friends of IWS, as Carlo Vanzini would say at the start of the race, rev up the engines and as the lights go out, let’s kick off the discovery of this brand new Black Bay from the house of Tudor.
The New Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Blue
Before we delve into discovering the features of the newcomer to the Tudor house, we need to take a small step back, more precisely to the beginning of the year.
In fact, in February, just before the start of the 2024 Formula One season, all the teams, as usual, unveiled the liveries of their single-seaters.
Along with the unveiling of the cars, ready to hurtle at more than 300 km/h to conquer the world championship, partnerships with the different brands were announced.
Among them, there has always been no shortage of brands from the world’s leading watchmaking houses including, as of this year, the name Tudor.
Indeed, the historic Geneva-based manufacturer has decided to return to Formula One, this time, alongside the Visa Cash App RB team.
In fact, the single-seaters driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda will be accompanied by the name of the Tudor manufacture, which, on the occasion of its return to the world of motorsport, presented a watch dedicated to the two drivers.

Just enough time for me to be enthralled by this new timepiece that, as a good lover of watches and the world of auto racing, I hoped would become a model available to the public as well.
And well dear friends of IWS, a few months after the presentation of the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Blue intended for the two pilots, the maison has pleased the whole way of the hands by giving fans the opportunity to be able to buy the same model created for Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda.
Looking at the watch, the element that immediately stands out is the dial in the same blue as the livery of the Visa Cash App RB team’s single-seaters.
Similar to the model from which it takes its inspiration, namely the Black Bay Ceramic, Tudor’s newest addition features a ceramic case with a diameter of 41 mm and water resistance to 200 meters.
Matching the dial, we find the same shade of blue above the stitching on the hybrid leather and rubber strap as well as on the additional black fabric strap with a blue center band.
Through the sapphire crystal case back, like the traditional model featuring a black dial, the in-house caliber MT56021U can be admired.
It is a self-winding movement with a laser sunburst pattern and Master Chronometer inscription on the bridges to highlight its remarkable performance.
The exposed oscillating weight is made of one-piece tungsten and is finished through a radial laser groove with sandblasted details.
The bridges and plate have alternating sandblasted and polished surfaces and laser decoration.
Equipped with a 70-hour power reserve, this caliber, in addition to being COSC-certified, is distinguished by the renowned METAS “Master Chronometer” certification, also shown at 6 o’clock on the dial as an inscription.
Final Thoughts
With this release once again Tudor has amazed all fans of the world of hands.
Famous for innovating without distorting, once again the maison presented a slightly revisited model that, thanks to a small detail related to the world of Motorsport, met the taste of many fans of both the world of timepieces and Formula One.
Personally, I must admit that, having a crazy passion for both watches and the world of Motorsport, I consider this watch to be incredibly beautiful.
I must also say that, compared to the traditional model with a black dial, I find this new version much more apt thanks to the greater contrast given by the bright blue of the dial and strap details.
Like the latest models presented for the sports world, I am sure that this new Black Bay Ceramic Blue will also become an object of desire for many enthusiasts.
