Richard Mille has always been synonymous of creativity and technics, pushed so far that is without any doubt the choice for that kind of collectors.
This year challenge was the Watches & Wonders where, used to ridiculous complications, highly technical and fine materials along with the brand’s typical eccentricity, we were expecting something really singular… and so it was.
A colorful stand, filled with sweet surprises, was the chosen set for the presentation of the new “Bonbon Collection”, a ten-model line inspired by the classical candies that we all ate in our childhood.
“The Fruit Line” pays homage to six different candy flavors.
RM 16-01 Strawberry RM 16-01 Lemon RM 07-03 Blueberry RM 07-03 Litchi RM 37-01 Cherry RM 37-01 Kiwi
“The Sweet Line” is made of actual candies (to wear, of course).
RM 07-03 Cupcake RM 07-03 Marshmallow RM 16-01 Réglisse RM 37-01 Sucette
Our childhood is secured in Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT cases. Those materials are widely used by the maison for their lightweight and strength. The gradient coloration is emphasized by bright enamels or black chromed titanium, without forgetting about the new available color: turquoise.
But the true beauty is inside.
Over 3000 candy miniatures have been developed in collaboration with some of the most skilled artisans and are painted with acrylic colors and lacquered, naturally by hand.

The sugar, that gives a more realistic look, is nothing less than an illusion created by dust enamels and fine sand.
The beating heart is, for the RM 16-01, the homonymous hand wound automatic in-house movement, while the 37-01 comes with the same caliber as the 37-02.
These new watches will be produced in 30 pieces for each model and will be available for a taste test (just looking, sorry!) in Richard Mille’s boutique in 2019 spring/summer.
