Dear friends of IWS, let’s not delay any longer and go now to discover all the details of the two watches signed Wyler Vetta.
Wyler Vetta Jumbostar solotempo and chronograph
Wyler Vetta has always held a special place in the heart of every vintage watch enthusiast and beyond. Indeed, the iconic brand, which recently celebrated 100 years, has always managed to stand out for its creations, establishing itself among the leading players in Italian and international watchmaking in past eras.
Recently, to celebrate this milestone of longevity, the brand has reinterpreted the iconic Jumbostar model in two versions that immediately caught the attention of fans of the world of hands.
What unites these two variants of the historic Wyler Vetta Jumbostar, a time-only and a chronograph, both with 40 mm diameter steel cases, are the dials offered in black, rust, and, newly introduced, green and blue.
Each dial is built on two levels; the lower, cream-colored one houses red indexes placed at the 12-hour markers punctuated in turn by luminescent markers.
In the black, blue and green dial variants, in combination with the red indexes, we find, in the same color, the central seconds hand in the time-only version, and the chronograph seconds hand in the chronograph version. In models with a rust-colored dial, however, the continuous seconds hand of the time-only model, and the chronograph seconds hand of the chronograph model, feature a steel-colored finish.
In both models the house logo stands out at 12 o’clock, and at 6 o’clock the “Jumbostar” logo and the words “Automatic.” Also at 6 o’clock, in the time-only version, is the date window. In the chronograph version, however, we find the continuous seconds counter at 3 o’clock and the chronograph minute counter at 9 o’clock.
Positioned on the case of both models, at 10 o’clock, is the unmistakable second crown that adjusts the unidirectional rotating snap-in rehaut intent.
At 3 o’clock, also on the Jumbostar case, is the crown for setting the hours and minutes along with, in the chronograph version, the start/stop and reset buttons dedicated to the complication.
Bringing the Wyler Vetta Jumbostar to life is the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic caliber with 68 hours of power reserve, in the time-only version, and the ETA 2894, with 42 hours of power reserve, in the chronograph version.
Completing the design of each watch is a satin-finished steel bracelet with its two polished central links, quick release and deployment clasp.
These Jumbostars are also available with a Made in Italy leather strap with a pin buckle and quick release system, matching the colors of the various dials.
