Live from Milan, we are pleased to present the new Octo Finissimo Bulgari X Pisa Orologeria. A limited edition of only 15 pieces that celebrates the historic family-run Milanese store, combining the inspiration of the Eternal City, with the Milan that never stands still.

The history of Pisa Orologeria in Via Pietro Verri, Milan.
Pisa Orologeria has a very important history in the world of Milanese watchmaking, in fact they have represented one of the city’s excellences since 1940. Thanks to Osvaldo Pisa (and later Ugo) the first small store was born in Via Pietro Verri. In 15 square meters were founded the foundations for the future of as many as 5 monobrand boutiques and a flagship store.

What has always characterized Pisa Orologeria over the years has been the great attention to those artistic and artisanal values that distinguish the world of haute horology: technique, ingenuity, research in materials…
The inspiration: Orologio Divino
Divino Pisa is one of the older brothers, who in 1957 created an exceptional watch, the Earth Magnetism Watch. This masterpiece of science and engineering made headlines around the world, it was exhibited at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, and, 65 years later, became the inspiration for the new Bulgari Octo Finissimo x Pisa Orologeria.

For the Pisa family, this creation will commonly be dubbed “the Divine Clock,” and it is here that Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani paused to create these 15 pieces.
New Bulgari Octo Finissimo X Pisa Orologeria
The canvas for the collaboration between Pisa Orologeria and Bulgari is the Octo Finissimo in titanium, a watch that all of us as watch enthusiasts and as Italians, particularly love. It embodies everything that makes a watch cool: the Italian style, the fineness of the thickness, the refined shapes of the case and bracelet… there could not have been a more representative watch to choose.

As Chiara Pisa, owner and CEO, tells us, this new Octo Finissimo X Pisa Orologeria takes us back to the postwar 1950s, where that dynamism emerges, that being enterprising that brought Milan to its splendor today.
A bronze dial with no logo
The bronze dial of the new Bulgari Octo Finissimo X Pisa Orologeria represents precisely the ‘Industrial Milan’ of the 1950s. The choice of this material echoes the colors of Pisa, while the ‘rough’ finish of the laser-engraved hour markers and this 45° satin finish is reminiscent of a blacksmith’s sketch, thus a fine work but one that retains that character of craftsmanship.

On the dial we have no logo, neither from Bulgari nor Pisa Orologeria. Absolute minimalism reminiscent of every Milanese’s understatement. Elegant, refined, but never flashy. The small seconds counter is inspired by the minute track of the Divine Watch we told you about a few lines above.
Finally, on the sapphire case back, we read Limited Edition of 15 and the Pisa 1940 logo.
