Audemars Piguet, to the surprise of all fans, recently presented five new references from the Royal Oak Offshore collection.

These are the new Offshore Music Editions, 37 and 43 mm, made of different materials: two models in titanium, two set in 18-karat white gold and one in black ceramic.

All five new references share the same Tapisserie pattern dial that reproduces the motifs of an equalizer (or vu meter), knurled pins resembling jack sockets and mixer fader-inspired crown guards.

In this article we will discover all the features of each of the five new models of the Maison of Le Brassus.

The new Royal Offshore Music Edition in Titanium

Starting from the first models in the catalog, we find two new references made of titanium, one with a diameter of 37 mm and the other with a diameter of 43 mm.

These two models are limited to 500 pieces each and feature the iconic blue dial with a Tapisserie pattern that acts as a backdrop for a colorful decal of an equalizer, creating a sparkling contrast.

Unlike the 43 mm model, in the 37 mm model we find, on the case, wider polished bevels and a curved sapphire crystal.

As for the case, in both models it is made of titanium; glass and back are in sapphire with anti-reflective treatment. The case thickness is 12mm for the 37mm diameter model and 14.4mm for the 43mm diameter model.

Both models have a screw-down crown that guarantees a water resistance of 50 meters, for the 37 mm model and 100 meters, on the other hand, for the 43 mm model.

As for the movement, in the smaller model we find the self-winding caliber 5909 with a power reserve of 60 hours.

In the larger model, however, we find the self-winding caliber 4309 with a power reserve of 70 hours.

Finally, the strap of the 37 mm model is in blue rubber with a “constellation” texture, AP pin buckle and is interchangeable.

The strap of the 43 mm model is in blue rubber with a titanium AP pin buckle and always with an interchangeable strap system.

The price for these two new limited edition models is € 28,700 for the 37mm model and € 31,200 for the 43mm model.

The new Royal Offshore Music Edition in white gold

The new Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition line also includes two models in 37 and 43 mm white gold, with dial and bezel set with colored “Harmony” cut stones.

In these two versions, the blue aventurine dial also stands out which, also in this case, reproduces an equalizer.

The ten colors that make up the equalizer columns are obtained thanks to the invisible setting of different stones: rubies, peridots, tsavorites and green, blue and orange sapphires.

In perfect combination with the dial stones, we find the aforementioned stones set in the iconic octagonal bezel that further embellish these two new models.

The total number of stones on the watch is 166 stones for the smaller model and 230 stones for the larger model.

As for the dimensions of the two watches, in the catalog there is a smaller model, with a diameter of 37 mm and a thickness of 12.1 mm, and a larger model with a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 14.4 mm.

Both models feature a screw-down crown that guarantees water resistance of 50 m for the smaller model and 100 m for the larger model.

The calibers that animate both watches are the same present in the two titanium models. Even the straps are the same as we have seen for two titanium models described in the first part of this article.

The price of both of these two new models is on request.

The new Royal Offshore Music Edition in black ceramic

This is a 43mm black ceramic model, limited edition of 250 pieces.

The black ceramic case features a delicate contrast to the titanium elements: the lugs reminiscent of the jack plug motif, the fader-inspired crown protectors and the pin buckle of the strap.

On the surface of the black dial with Tapisserie motif, also in this case, a decal of 10 different colors that represent an equalizer stands out, giving the watch a very contemporary look.

This model, like the other two 43 mm models, is fitted with caliber 4309.
The strap, in black rubber with a titanium AP pin buckle, is interchangeable as in the other four models.

Final remarks 

Surely Audemars Piguet, with these five new models, has left us all amazed as they are “extravagant” watches but which, at the same time, enrich an already consolidated collection in order to offer even more choice.
