Before describing Montblanc’s news for 2020, it’s necessary to present the ispiration they come from, especially when talking about Minerva.

Heritage Collection
If you inspire to vintage, to your origins and histories, you need to do it right, and you also need something to tell. And Montblanc knows it well.
3 models, 3 colors, same aesthetics: classic and modern, well mixed and reinterpretated.
This year’s news are a 40s and 50s mix of colors and shapes, not exactly collocable in a timeline, but very recognizable.
For the first time in the modern scene, a “new” brand is already recognizable, at first glance, by colors and design.

Montblanc Heritage Automatic
The first piece we want to introduce has an exquisite chromatic combination, that reminds of old Regimental ties, bringing a feeling of sophistication, but with a good versatility.
The latter is carried out both by the 40mm and the automatic movement. With that size, in fact, we start leaving the “dress watch” category, to jump in the everyday one. And the new Montblanc Heritage Automatic is ready to be a daily companion.
Yellow gold and english green, together with alligator skin and a 40 mm case, make this watch the perfect companion for an adult or an elegant young man.
The epicenter is, clearly, the dial, superbly enameled and balanced, also thanks to the opaque ring that houses the indexes. The fumé alligator, to perfectly complete the chromatism, is once more the confirmation that watch houses are giving more space to nuances, in spite of firm colors.
Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph
Pink salmon is been dominating horology for a while, but not every “salmon” is the same.
With this Heritage Monopusher Chronograph, Montblanc proposes an aesthetic hybrid between a time-only and a chronograph, thanks to the pusher inside the crown.

Simple but very detailed, this monopusher is one of Montblanc’s flagships, with his first-class movement and many details all over the watch.
Just take a look at three o’clock… don’t you see something?
The three black lines, longer than the others, were used in old chronographs to time calls on public telephones. That’s what we mean by “details“.
Montblanc Heritage Manufacture Pulsograph
The last news from Montblanc’s 2020 Heritage Collection is a 100-pieces limited edition.
Tobacco, besides green and salmon, was chosen to complete this collection, creating something different from the other two timepieces, something warmer and more exclusive.
If you studied our secong Guide to Chronographs, you probably know already what we’re about to talk.
This watch has something that Montblanc was able to inherit from vintage: the pulsometric scale, previously used by doctors to record heartbeats.
To complete this piece, we can admire the caliber and all its details, in particular the V-bridge and Minerva’s arrow.

Three references, few but good and for every taste. With a strong attention to details, Montblanc pleases a wide audience, usually with various price ranges, but all sharing taste and research for aesthetic roots.
