Grandmaster Chime 6300GR and Grandmaster Chime 6300/403G

The Grandmaster Chime collection has always represented the highest degree of expression in Patek Philippe watchmaking. This year the house has created two new, unprecedented versions: one in white and rose gold with opaline brown dials and one in white gold with 118 emeralds and 291 baguette-cut diamonds.

Both watches are powered by the caliber 300 GS AL 36-750 QIS FUS IRM, which powers the watch’s 20 complications, including the five sound functions.

With a case diameter of 47.7 mm, all complication information is displayed on the two dials in each of the models.

In the white and rose gold versions, the main dial showing the time is opaline brown with gold Breguet numerals and a Clous de Paris guilloché finish.

On the calendar side, the dial is unprocessed but has an opaline brown color.

In the stone-embellished model, the main dial is opaline ebony black, decorated always with Clou de Paris guilloché finish.

We find the same color on the back dial, where the calendar information is placed.

Completing the watches are hand-stitched alligator straps that echo the colors of each of the models. In the gemstone version, moreover, the clasp is also decorated with baguette-cut emeralds.

Minute repeater, Tourbillon, retrograde perpetual calendar – 5316/50P

This new 40.2-mm platinum-cased model in the Grande Complicazioni family features a metallic blue sapphire crystal dial shaded black at the periphery.

Thanks to this semi-transparent dial, it is possible to observe the front of the hand-wound R TO 27 PS QR caliber, which encloses within it a minute repeater with 2 classic gongs and a perpetual calendar with retrograde date.

At 12 o’clock is the window indicating leap year, while at 3 and 9 o’clock are the month and day windows, respectively.

At 6 o’clock, we find the small seconds counters, with the inscription indicating the presence of the Tourbillon inside the movement. In the “if you know, you know” style typical of haute horology. Also in this counter, there is the disc indicating the moon phase.

By means of the slide on the left side of the 13.23 mm thick case, the minute repeater sound function can be activated.

The sapphire crystal case back allows you to admire every component of the movement, which is truly a sight to behold.

This is complemented by a hand-stitched, navy blue, embossed textile patterned calfskin strap.

Minute Repeater, Worldtimer – 5531G

With this white gold model, Patek Philippe highlights not only its prowess in the field of haute horlogerie but also its mastery of the enamel decorations that have always been a trademark of the house.

In the center of the dial, set in a 40.2-mm-diameter case, is a new Grand Feu cloisonné enamel motif, completely handmade, showing one of the famous steamboats of the Belle Époque fleet that stillq plies the waters of Lake Geneva today.

Surrounding the image is the hour disc along with the names of different cities around the world thanks to which it is always possible to instantly know the time in any part of the globe, simply by pressing the button located on the case at 2 o’clock that allows the indications to scroll.

This model, launched in 2017, represents the first minute repeater capable of ringing local time via the slide on the left side.

The case, 11.49 mm thick, is embellished with Clou de Paris guilloché work.

The sapphire crystal case back allows one to admire the finely crafted R 27 HU automatic movement with Côte de Genève on the plate and guilloché for the fascinating micro-rotor. At 8 o’clock you can also admire the two minute repeater hammers.

This is complemented by a hand-stitched, square-scale alligator strap in shiny blue-green.

Minute Repeater – 5178G

This model, along with the second one we presented, represents one of the most interesting new additions to the Grand Complications family.

This is a minute repeater watch equipped with two “cathedral” gongs that can be operated by a slide on the left side of the case, made of white gold and 40 mm in diameter.
