Exactly one year from now, on February 6, 2026, Italy will host the Olympic Winter Games in the beautiful setting of Milan Cortina. The event will represent a moment of great prestige for the country, and in keeping with tradition, Omega is once again confirmed as Official Timekeeper of the event, in a role it has held continuously since 1932. With more than 90 years of experience in sports timekeeping, the Swiss brand has continuously perfected its technology, ensuring maximum precision in every competition.

To celebrate the upcoming Olympic Winter Games, Omega has unveiled a special edition of its celebrated Seamaster. The new model, 37mm in diameter, is inspired by the iconic timepieces of the 1950s, reinterpreting their classic style with a contemporary twist and combining elegance and precision.

The refined design of the Omega Seamaster Milano Cortina 2026

The first element that strikes one when looking at the new Omega Seamaster Milano Cortina 2026 is its vintage design, recalling the proportions and harmonious lines of the collection’s early models. Above the 37 mm diameter round case, “spider” lugs stand out, giving the timepiece a touch of sophistication and a strong retro character.

The watch is made entirely of 18-karat Moonshine™ gold, an exclusive alloy patented by Omega in 2019. This particular material, composed of silver, copper, and palladium, was developed to offer a more delicate hue than classic yellow gold and provide greater resistance to aging and oxidation. The case features a satin finish along the entire profile, while the hexagonal winding crown adds a further distinctive touch to the design.

The aesthetic heart of the watch is the “Grand Feu” white enamel dial, a traditional decorative technique that gives depth to the surface. The sculpted hour markers and faceted dauphine hands are always made of 18K Moonshine™ gold, with a diamond polish that enhances their brilliance. The chapter ring and signature “Seamaster” at 6 o’clock, on the other hand, are made with the “Petit Feu” enamel technique in a soft gray shade, creating a pleasing contrast.

“This timepiece represents our Olympic excellence from Los Angeles onward,” says Raynald Aeschlimann, president and CEO of OMEGA.“While the design of the Seamaster 37 mm has remained remarkably constant since the 1956 Melbourne Games, our timekeeping technology has continually evolved.”

While the design of the new Omega Seamaster Milano Cortina 2026 evokes the past, the watch’s technology is cutting-edge. Indeed, this new Seamaster is powered by the Omega caliber 8807 Co-Axial Master Chronometer, an in-house automatic movement that guarantees high performance in terms of precision, reliability and resistance to magnetic fields. Certified by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology), this movement is designed to withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 Gauss. The case back protecting the movement is engraved with the Olympics logo in an alternating satin and polished finish.

Complementing the watch’s aesthetics is a brown leather strap, featuring a smooth finish on both sides, which perfectly matches the warm shade of Moonshine™ gold. The polished buckle, is also made of 18K Moonshine™ gold.

Price and conclusions

With this special edition, with a list price of EUR 21,500, Omega not only celebrates the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, but also pays tribute to its own tradition in sports timekeeping and haute horology, continuing a nearly 100-year collaboration. The Seamaster 37mm represents the perfect balance between innovation and style, keeping alive the link with the past without sacrificing the most advanced technologies. Omega meanwhile, once again confirms itself as an undisputed player in the world of watchmaking and international sports.
