The Vallée de Joux brand kicks off the dances at Watches & Wonders 2023 by unveiling the new Reverso Tribute Small Seconds in rose gold, a tribute to 1931 that pays homage to the special dials produced by Jaeger-LeCoultre.
New Reverso Tribute Small Seconds
The new ultra-thin Reverso Tribute Small Seconds has a rose gold case and features a distinctive dial with a soleil finish. The latter is inspired by the dials produced by the brand in the 1930s. Over time, Jaeger-LeCoultre has indeed produced a plethora of dials, with different indexes, shades, and finishes.
In this new addition to Watches & Wonders 2023, special emphasis is placed on the ultra-thin case thickness of just 7.56 mm, which gives it additional elegance. The company has reduced the Reverso Tribute by as much as 1 millimeter by redesigning its case. Although the Reverso was born as a sports watch, it is now well known how it has become a classic to go with a nice suit, rather than a watch for playing polo.
Four different types of colors were presented for the occasion, including 3 versions of the rose gold model: with dials respectively in black soleil, a rich burgundy, and a classic silver (also available in steel).
Inside we have the hand-wound Calibre 822, which provides 42 hours of power reserve.
The ability to customize an icon
In a world where uniqueness matters more and more, this watch is like a blank canvas ready to be drawn on. The back of the new Reverso Tribute Small Seconds gives the owner the opportunity to personalize it to his or her liking by inserting an engraving, lacquered or enameled design.
As we learned during the trip to the manufacture for the presentation of The Collectibles, only the gold versions can be personalized with enamel, as steel does not have the necessary characteristics for pigments to fuse together with the material, fixing the personalization. In the case of steel, however, it will be possible to insert beautiful engravings, which Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Masters perform by hand, just as in the past.
Price and availability
