More than sixty years ago, BVLGARI decided to use the snake as one of their symbols and one of the highest expressions in design, from jewelry to horology.
This year the new Serpenti Seduttori (Italian for “Seducing Snakes”) Collection embodies the distinctive and recognizable marks of the Maison’s typical sexy and captivating charm.
The main news are in the bracelets, proposing an hexagonal pattern that slightly recalls a reptile’s scales, and in the case and bracelet finishes, where three gold blends are available to widen the options for the buyers.
Let’s see together the different news about this entirely female-oriented collection:
Pink Gold Serpenti Seduttori
In the pink gold line, we find three models that differentiate in case and bracelet finishes.
The basic version is entirely in 18 kt rose gold (bracelet too), with the classic snake shape that wraps around the wrist. It features a 33mm case, which houses a silvered dial with rose gold indexes.
The crown, 18 kt gold too, is set with a cabochon-cut Rubellite.
List price of 22.600€
The second pink gold variant, similar to the basic model, is set with round-cut diamonds around the dial, for a total of 0,38 ct.
List price of 26.900€
The most important and precious version is the Full Pavè, that comes with a diamond pavè in round-cut on the bracelet and the folding clasp, a 50-diamonds set on the bezel and another 166-diamond pavè on the case, always in 33 mm.
The 18 kt pink gold dial is diamond set as well.

Yellow Gold Serpenti Seduttori
This year’s interesting news, the new yellow gold Serpenti is presented in a single version.
33 mm case, hexagonal pattern bracelet and folding clasp, all in 18 kt yellow gold, silvered dial and case-matching indexes.
The crown is fitted with the “classic” cabochon-cut rubellite on the crown, and a 38-diamond set (0,01 ct each) to embellish the bezel.
List price of 26.900€
White Gold Serpenti Seduttori
In this version, the white gold gives a more contemporary look to the two watches, intended to ease the wear for a younger audience.
The first model, that follows the guide lines used in the yellow and pink gold models, proposes a 33 mm case, bracelet and clasp in 18 kt white gold.
The dial is always silvered, but this time the crown is set with a cabochon-cut sapphire, while the bezel is fitted with 38 round-cut diamonds for a total of 0,38 ct.
List price of 28.800€
The second version is an haute jewelry blaze that, thanks to the reduced size of the watch, doesn’t look tacky.
Bracelet and folding clasp are covered by a generous round-cut diamond set, while the 33 mm 18 kt white gold case comes with a 166 round-cut diamonds pavé, plus other 50 diamonds on the bezel.
The diamond-encrusted dial makes the light plays created by azure indexes stand out wonderfully, that matches perfectly with the cabochon-cut sapphire set in the crown.
List price of 93.200€
A last reflection
All the Serpenti Seduttori watches are equipped with the B033 quartz movement, developed and modified by BVLGARI: super precise, waterproof up to 30 meters and, thanks to the reduced dimensions, able to be comfortably fitted in the small snake heads that serve as case.
The question is immediate:
Couldn’t we expect, seen BVLGARI’s know-how in creating ultra-thin movements (like for the Octo Finissimo), the introduction of mechanical movements in this female-oriented collection?
We think that a mechanical movement would make this jewel-watch more appetizing to an audience that is trying to mix elegance and materials sophistication to less trivial movements.
And, why not, being a new maison’s world record.
Or maybe quartz is the winner because the audience wants to amaze with a high-class jewel, without worrying about charging the watch or setting the time every time it’s worn?
