That’s the beauty of today’s world, not having to wait years to discover gems like the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dubai created in a limited edition for the largest and most important retailer in the Middle East, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dubai Limited Edition for Seddiqi
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dubai is a special and never-before-seen version that reinterprets the most modern Tudor chronograph in a Middle Eastern key.

What makes it special is the presence of Hindo-Arabic numbers to replace the circular indexes, as well as the date disc created entirely with the same numbers. This feature reminds us of the very rare vintage Day-Date that featured both cases translated into Arabic, which today have become a real treasure for collectors.

Thanks to our dear collectors on Instagram, in particular @watchemirates, we were able to directly track down a snap on the wrist of this steel Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dubai. Observing it carefully, we also see the numbers on the chronograph counters, which are also placed in Hindo-Arabic numerals like the indices.

The only remaining regular transcription was the bezel, which probably would have become more confusing to read than the immediacy of the normal one.
The celebration of the Middle Eastern market in watchmaking
In the last 5 years we have witnessed a veritable celebration of the Middle East by Swiss watchmaking houses, which have dedicated numerous limited editions for their most loyal customers in this part of the world.
In particular, the role of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has given access to the elite local clientele to have timepieces that are unique and different from the rest of the world. Something that few countries can boast.

Among them, brands such as Tudor, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, or independent watchmakers such as Sartory Billard, Ludovic Balluard or F.P. Journe, have created incredible dials with Eastern-Arabic numerals. The offer for collectors in these years has really skyrocketed.
The extremely rare Rolex 6263 Arabian Knight with a Hindo-Arabic dial
When we saw the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dubai, the first watch that came to mind was the incredible Rolex 6263 Arabian Knight sold by Phillips in the Daytona Ultimatum auction in 2018, which sold for 2 million Euros.

6263 is the icon par excellence in the world of vintage, even more so than the first reference 6239. In the case of the Arabian Knight we have a very rare dial with Hindo-Arabic numerals which, here too, replace the normal indexes. Citing the auction house’s catalogue, this model is part of a batch delivered to the Middle East, probably for a royal family.

We just have to dream and think about all the incredible editions that are hidden in the world.
Price and availability to the public
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dubai is available in just 50 pieces, reserved for the best customers. The list price has not been disclosed, but will be similar to the official price in the UAE for the model with a regular dial.
