In recent years, the Gerald Charles brand has been gaining more and more ground in the independent watchmaking scene. The main feature of these watches is the Maestro case, one of the last designs by the famous Gérald Genta, from which the brand’s name originates.
Over time, the now iconic Maestro model has been interpreted in multiple variations and with different complications. Today, at Watches and Wonders, it remains true to this concept, presenting three new timepieces.
Let’s find out together.
Gerald Charles Maestro GC Sport in Optic Yellow

The first new addition to the GC Sport collection, it was designed by Gerald Charles to cope with the most intense sporting activities, making it ideal even for top professional athletes.
Inspired by the world of tennis, the brand presents a new timepiece with a 39 mm x 41 mm case
in grade 5 titanium fiber, offered in a refined matte black finish.
In recent years, this line has already enjoyed great success with two editions inspired by clay and concrete courts. With this third edition, limited to 200 pieces, Gerald Charles celebrates the most iconic and beloved surface of the tennis season: grass.

Three key elements distinguish this watch: shock resistance, which is essential to withstand the physical stress of a high-level game; lightness, guaranteed by the titanium case for a total weight of only 64 grams; and finally, ergonomics on the wrist, ensured by the crown positioned on the left and the Velcro strap, perfectly coordinated with the color of the dial.
The list price is EUR 17,600.
Gerald Charles Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition

The brand’s second novelty has a decidedly more elegant character and makes its complication(the jumping hours) its distinctive element. It is the limited edition for the twenty-fifth anniversary of Gerald Charles, which reprises the famous twelve o’clock window of the jumping hours, an iconic stylistic detail already present in the creations of Master Gérald Genta, even before the brand was born.
If the 42 mm diameter case, with its unmistakable “smile” at six o’clock, is now well known to enthusiasts, the same cannot be said for some of the dial’s peculiarities, necessitated by the complication.
Immediately catching the eye is the center of the lapis lazuli dial, while the two outer rings-which usually house the chapter ring-are machined in such a way as to focus attention right on the heart of the watch. The result is an extremely elegant and refined timepiece that echoes the aesthetic canons of Gérald Genta and is a perfect tribute to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary, recalled by the logo at six o’clock on the dial and also engraved on the rotor.
Gerald Charles Maestro 3.0 Chronograph

Finally, as a last novelty, Gerald Charles presents two new chronograph timepieces inspired by one of the very first models produced by the brand over twenty years ago: the GC33. A successful encounter between Swiss watchmaking tradition and constant technical progress.
The two models, while sharing the same caliber and design, differ in case material and color.

The steel case version, measuring 39 mm x 41 mm, is paired with a light blue strap, matching the dial: a perfect combination, in my opinion, for informal settings where, however, a watch with character makes all the difference. Perhaps ideal for an atmosphere like Miami’s?
The second version, on the other hand, is perfectly suited for everyday use, especially for those with a sporty lifestyle: the black titanium case is paired with a white strap, creating a contrast that is both dynamic and elegant.
Personally, I really appreciate these two new models: it is not easy to find a chronograph today that is truly different from all the others. For design aficionados and those who recognize the legacy of a great name like Gérald Genta, they could represent an unmissable opportunity.
Conclusion
On the occasion of Watches and Wonders, Gerald Charles managed to expand its collection with three very different models, capable of satisfying all tastes: from the most sporty Up to those for those who appreciate original and out-of-the-box complications.
What to say, then? Good evidence at the wrist!
