Earlier this month, the house announced the release of two new Gerald Charles that will join their renowned Maestro collection.
It is a time-only watch and a chronograph, both made with an 18-karat rose gold case, which goes perfectly with the blue royal sunburst of the dial.
In keeping with the Maison’s vision of creating sporty yet elegant watches, these two new watches convey a casual charm and sophistication.
In this article we will go to the discovery of the two models by analyzing all their characteristics.
The new Gerald Charles Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin
The first new model presented, ref. GC2.0-RG, enriches Gerald Charles’s Ultra-Thin family. This new watch, inside the 18-karat rose gold case, houses the highly sophisticated Caliber GCA3002 Manufacture.
This automatic movement, made by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier and customized for Gerald Charles, has a diameter of 23.3mm and a thickness of 3.7mm. In addition to offering the time and date functions, this caliber features high levels of precision, resistance to vibrations, shocks and, finally, a power reserve of 50 hours.
Through the sapphire crystal on the back, you can admire the new hexagonal-shaped oscillating weight, designed by world-renowned designer Octavio Garcia and first appeared in the micro-rotor of the Maestro 8.0 Squelette, introduced in May of this year.
The royal blue sunburst dial features luminescent applied indexes; at 6 o’clock we can instead observe the date window. The case, with dimensions of 39 x 41.7mm, has guaranteed water resistance up to 100 meters. The whole is completed by a blue vulcanized rubber strap, finished with the Maison’s Clous de Paris motif on the upper side and with the Gerald Charles logo on the opposite side.
The new Gerald Charles Maestro 3.0 Chronograph
The second model presented, ref. GC3.0-RG-01, enriches the Chronograph family of Gerald Charles. Crafted with a rose gold case, this new chronograph features the caliber GCA3022 / 12 inside. Again, the movement was created in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier and customized for Gerald Charles.
The diameter of this automatic caliber is 28 mm and the thickness is 6.07 mm; the power reserve is 50 hours. As for the functions, in addition to the indication of the time, we find the presence of a chronograph.
Also in this model we can admire, through the visible sapphire crystal caseback, the oscillating weight designed by the designer Octavio Garcia. The dial, in addition to indicating the hours and minutes, features the classic three chronograph counters present on all models in the Chronograph line by Gerald Charles.
The color chosen for the dial is the same royal blue sunburst used in the new Maestro Ultra-Thin.
The case measures 39 x 41.7mm and has guaranteed water resistance up to 100 meters. The strap chosen for this new Maestro Cronograph is the same as that found in the new Maestro Ultra-Thin.

With a list price of € 32,000 for the Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin and € 39,000 for the Maestro 3.0 Chronograph, these two new models can currently be pre-ordered and shipments will start in September 2022.
