In watchmaking, the concept of collaboration has taken on very different meanings. In some cases it’s a purely stylistic exercise, in others a commercial strategy. More rarely, collaboration becomes a tool to shape a collective identity. Jui Bauhinia, the new creation by Watch Ho & Co(mmunity) and Selten, belongs to the latter category.
Watch Ho & Co(mmunity) and the birth of Selten Jui
Watch Ho & Co(mmunity) was founded in Hong Kong as a collective of enthusiasts, in a context where watchmaking culture is experiencing a phase of strong maturation. The group has taken an increasingly active role in the local scene, promoting events, collaborations and initiatives capable of connecting with the more social dimension of watchmaking. The underlying idea is clear and ambitious, namely to understand the watch as a point of contact par excellence between people, stories and experiences.
It was within this vision that the first Jui took shape in 2025, created together with Selten, an independent microbrand known for an approach and aesthetic sensibility that looks as much to Asian culture as to the language of contemporary watchmaking.


The name Jui, 聚, express the concept of proximity, while the dial with the iconic Mountain Pattern is related to the designs historically found on Chinese armor. Its dense geometric pattern metaphorically recalls the passion that unites and compacts a true community of collectors.
The strength of the “Mountain Pattern” and the beauty of the Bauhinia
The new Jui Bauhinia takes up that visual and conceptual “grammar,” anchoring it once again in Hong Kong’s identity. Bauhinia, the region’s iconic flower and a constant presence in the collective imagination, becomes the centerpiece of this new edition.

The dial is made of natural white mother-of-pearl, CNC-machined and then infused with pink and violet hues. The surface reacts to light continuously, alternating between soft tones and more saturated reflections, with moments when the original milky luminosity of the material resurfaces. The result is magnetic, a surface in constant transformation that always keeps beauty and legibility in balance.


The skeletonized, heat-treated blue and purple spheres fit naturally into the dial layout, while the Chinese character 二, positioned at 2 o’clock, discreetly suggests that this is the second chapter. On the visible case back, the Miyota 9039 is accompanied by a personalized rotor engraved with the phrase“聚人聚時聚故事” (A place where people, time, and stories come together), a manifesto that summarizes the philosophy of the entire project.

The proportions remain true to an idea of versatility: 39 mm diameter, 9.95 mm thickness, 45.5 mm lug to lug. A 316L steel case, domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and hand-sewn FKM sailcloth strap complete the ensemble.
Conclusions
Limited to 200 examples per dial and priced at $1,250 USD, Jui Bauhinia represents the continuum of a journey that began with the first Jui, confirming how an active community and a conscious brand can still give birth to a project with a strong identity and cultural depth.


Jui Bauhinia reminds us that time, when shared, takes on a different meaning.
