For the third consecutive year, the Salon will also open its doors to the general public. After four days dedicated exclusively to professionals, from April 5-7 enthusiasts will be able to experience watchmaking totally firsthand. Thanks to the new online ticket office, visitors will be able to book exclusive slots for presentations of new models, take part in guided tours with experts or be surprised independently by the creations on display.
What we will see and what we might see in this new edition
Well, needless to say, from year to year Watches and Wonders grows exponentially becoming the benchmark for all watch enthusiasts around the world, providing an increasing number of exhibiting brands. As already anticipated, Bulgari and new independent brands will be among the stars of this edition such as, for example, Christiaan van der Klaauw, Genus, Kross Studio and MeisterSinger and the return of Armin Strom and HYT.
The year 2025 is also the 80th birthday of one of the most appreciated crowned watches ever, the Rolex Datejust, and, therefore, what better occasion to present, perhaps, a new edition of this timepiece born in 1945? Moreover, already since last year, several rumors were talking about a return in the list of the GMT-Master II “Coke”; could this be the right year to see it again in the windows of Rolex boutiques?
The ever-increasing use of the technical material titanium grade 5, could lead to the development of new watches especially by Maisons of Haute Horlogerie so, who knows if we will see some at this W&W 2025 edition.
Not only a large exhibition but many events dedicated to watchmaking
Special attention will be paid to the future of watchmaking with the LAB, an interactive area exploring new technologies and emerging professions. Start-ups, students and brands will present cutting-edge projects and innovative prototypes. TheAuditorium, on the other hand, will offer a rich program of lectures and presentations led by leading experts in the field. Not to be missed is the Longitude Zero exhibition, which will take visitors on a journey along the Greenwich Meridian to discover the evolution of time measurement.
In addition to Palexpo, Watches and Wonders will expand into the heart of Geneva with ‘In the City,’ a completely free program involving partner boutiques and major city streets with exclusive events, unique experiences, and a major concert to be held on Thursday evening.
The Village Horloger, located on the Pont de la Machine, will offer an in-depth look at the watchmaking professions. Apprentices and trainers will present training pathways and, for the first time, the show will host the SwissSkills 2025 qualifications for the microtechnology professions, an event that can also be watched live by the audience in attendance.
